Responsibilities
Partner with internal Principal Consultants and clients to evaluate current and desired capabilities in Healthcare through deep analysis of client’s data using various approaches, methodologies, and tools. In this role, you will conduct data analysis for client engagements, gather requirements and document business needs, architectural components, data flow diagrams and other projects as needed. Additional responsibilities are as follows:
- Gather and interpret medical data from a variety of sources and formats
- Provide ad-hoc query support including custom report generation and analysis
- Analyze healthcare data to assist in delivering optimal healthcare decision making
- Provide guidance and technical support to select the appropriate analysis tools and formats
- Investigate data for trends and inconsistencies
- Work closely with team members on problem resolution and strategic change
- Gathers and documents reporting requirements to develop data reports, spreadsheets and presentations
- Present findings and translate data into understandable content
- Communicate analytical insights to management and clients
- Respond to requests to analyze data abnormalities that may be of concern
Skills/Experience
- Masters or Bachelors Degree
- Understanding of industry analytical tools and languages such as Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Cognos, SAS, R and Python
- Strong desire to work with data in various forms (structured data warehouses/SQL, unstructured data environments/NoSQL/Big Data etc.)
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, process improvement and documentation skills
- Familiar with structured analysis techniques including context diagrams, data flow diagrams, process modeling, functional decomposition models as well as conceptual, logical and physical data modeling
- Desire and commitment to continuous learning in data management, architecture, analytics and business intelligence
- Strong communications skills suitable for customer communications by phone, email, and in-person
- Ability to work from home with a high level of commitment and success
